I think you'll find the Army side of things pleasantly different here than there. On one of Matt's in-processing days (Tuesday), the day is devoted to seminars on marriage and money, very useful information. Spouses are welcome at all in-processing briefs, and I definitely reccomend attending this one. Now it's held in a church off-post, a church because the post chaplain leads the briefs for this particular day, off-post because they are still trying to find a large enough place on-post, as they've only been giving this series of briefs for the past month.
