Ugh indeed. I guess doggie diapers wouldn't ameliorate the situation any?

I think that would help, except it would go right over the incision. :(

I'll go get some kind of dry doggie shampoo tonight, or maybe some cleaning wipes.

It is fairly heartbreaking to see him all soggy and nasty in addition to the dignity-destroying Cone of Shame. Especially when he's had his medicine and is just standing there all empty-eyed and stoned.

They have pet wipes at the pet store...they are like baby wipes but they are for pets. I don't know if that would help. You could always do the pre-umbilical cord fall-off bath.

Ugh-i'm sorry.

Yeah, that's the plan. I have some that are just for his eyes (Bichons are prone to tear stains, and even though we don't do the full-on fancy Bichon cut we do want him to look presentable) and they did me no good at all. So I'm going to go buy every product that PetsMart offers.

And if I can't get him clean enough, I will take him back to the vet and have them do it. I don't even care what it costs, we can't have him running around all skanky.

I'm imagining this being like you in Whole Foods the other day. How is the tooth, by the way?

All better...the internet wins! :)

And yes, it will likely be just like that. My philosophy, when in doubt, is "Buy ALL THE THINGS."

Poor poor doggy. Poor poor you.

Also this stiffens my resolve to never own a dog :(.
