i started to wear my helment again. theres no reason not to. i think i value my life more than my looks. and besides i have a snazzy $200 helment. i should probably use it.

good call dude. riding a bike without a helmet is pretty stupid.

Some group did a study and found that riders who wear helmets are significantly more likely to be hurt in a bike accident. They said that it was probably because cars pass helmeted cyclists an average of one foot closer than non-helmeted ones. Not that i'm saying you shouldn't use your helmet...it's just interesting.

yeah one of my teachers told me about that. also, when i dont wear a helmet, i ride 10x more cautiously as well as riding a brakeless bike. but there are so many hills around here and im sketched out about going down some of the bluffs. i think there are appropriate times for not wearing a helmet. but i guess im just going to play it safe for right now.
