I've been meaning to share these for a very long time, but never bothered uploading them into my Photobucket album until this morning (while listening to the first CD of The ABC Murders read by Hugh Fraser)....so!
Just a little warning at the beginning: not all of these pictures are in the accurate order (especially the Birmingham ones..), but I did my best trying to sort them out. It's mostly because of my camera which tends to go nuts at times, but never mind!
the view from my room's window (aka the laundrette)
the street I lived in, and the halls at the far end
more of my room. there were lots of things I managed to hate about it, but overall, it was quite ok. at least it was BIG, bigger than the room I used to have here at home
my little picture wall
the following are some random pics from Birmingham city center:
the Bullring, the bezt place to go to if you want to get lost! the shops were quite nice too (expensive, so the only thing I bought from that shopping centre was a coffee)
the Arts building from two different angles. the department of English was on the second floor, but only a few of my supposed lessons would've been kept there
the main library
the Barber Institute of Fine Arts. i went there on my last Friday, and quite enjoyed it. Some of the paintings were so massive and so pretty. ♥
main campus area, Chancellor's Court
the Guild of Students
Stratford-upon-Avon on October 18th
Birmingham Moor Street Station.
the Shakespeare institute (£9,00 for a student to get to see three in-town houses)
Shakespeare's Birthplace. Cameras were never allowed inside the houses, so I only have random pictures from the outsides...
Nash's House (and bits of a chapel nearby)
New Place. The place itself was destroyed and they're not able to reconstruct it, but hey, it would be there!
Hall's Croft, the house of Shakespeare's daughter and her husband, John Hall.
the Holy Trinity Church
£0,50 to see this (RIP William) and I guess it was worth it. Creepy, in a way, but quite amazing!
I got a paper from the church that listed all the members of Shakespeare's family who have been buried there as well, but apparently I've lost it! I think there's his wife, daughter, son in law(s?) and granddaughter.
Stratford Station. I took the pic because there's that sign next to the cafe, and it says 'welcome' in several languages, Finnish included.
Hingham&Norwich, October 20th - 22nd
The Norwich Castle
the castle would be on the left side, and you can see my great aunt's husband, Ralph standing there :P
Norwich city wall
my relative's garden
one of the last pics I took; this is their dog, Hugo. he was honestly one of the cutest dogs I have ever seen, and so kind!
So yeah. 55+ pictures, almost 60 altogether I believe. This took me about three hours, so lol, I think I should do something more clever now!
