I don't understand
I question your words
the truth
each thing said
you look away
pulling away
yet you're still there
one thing is said
lying to yourself
you leave
distancing yourself
from all who care
you say goodbye
and yet
I still see you
watching me from across the room

unrealistic
confusion
you leave behind
and left for me
to hold
was I at fault
for thinking
believing the truth
lies
whispered from your lips
entangling me
my heart
in your words
of which now
only silence is heard?

if only
you knew
and saw me
for who I am
and what I had given away
to you
without you knowing it

I think I need to get away--
I'm tired of school, papers, drama...

the moon
reflections of your words
piercing my heart

the honest within
as the water
held the moon's light
