All the good intentions fly out the window. Today was so long. Coffee at 9:30, a booksellers' forum until 2, and then in the store from three until nine, and back again tomorrow at 10. I'm loving it, apart from the normal (and somewhat unavoidable) frustrations of not knowing how to do all the things, and be useful and proactive, ALREADY ( Read more... )

Dump it out for a week and see how it feels.

I like that we are in the same boat. Makes me feel normal. Or abnormal together. Yes, that's much better.

I tell myself "that's a wonderful idea! Write that book next week! It should only take a week. It's all in your head, you dunce, so just do it. A week, pfft!" It doesn't work that way. My only writing time is at night. Instead of writing, though, I watch Doctor Who. Over and over and over again.

Sigh.

It's breaking the inertia that's the trick. Not sure how to break that yet.
