"Enormous" puppets? I wonder how enormous. I think that could be incredibly cool.
I'd fly back from China if I could. I need a break with enormous puppets, Saint-Saens, and most impotantly some food I'm familiar with. I got my dose of sugar loaded children at the teachers' day celebration they had for us today. There were kids who sang, salsa danced, played the Qin, a girl who played the violin very well, and a full brass band!
Well the warm Teachers' Day reception doesn't sound so bad! I never quite imagined Chinese children being good at Salsa dancing, but I'll take your word for it.
I probably will go, just to hear the piece. But I know there will be squealing and squawking if "kids are encouraged to dress up as their favorite animal". Frankly, I need to re-familiarize myself with the piece.
I hope your tummy gets better. I guess I'll go back to my boring old mashed potatoes with gravy, macaroni and cheese, yeast rolls, spinach souffle and iced tea. (That was hateful. I apologize. But I'm not deleting it. Come home soon.)
Yeah, well, I had lamb dumplings tonight. So, I'm not jealous! macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes... no... not jealous at all... Okay. That sounds delicious, but the dumplings weren't bad. And my tummy isn't staging a coup anymore. Oh, and the dumpling dinner cost me about fifty cents.
I'm interested about equally in the piece and actually seeing the Schermerhorn. It's beautiful from the outside, and the pictures I've seen look wonderful. I just wish there weren't going to be squealing children everywhere. IOW, ain't no way I'm paying $100 a seat if it's going to be wall-to-wall children.
