It has occurred to me that I may have dived into the deep end of the Academic Pool a little less cautiously than I had first believed.

Or: Holy fuckballs, there are not enough hours in the day to read all of this heavy, tedious and esoteric shit WTFWASITHINKINGPLEASE FUCKINGKILLMENOW.

I have to read a hell of a lot before Monday, including 1 book, 5

I agree...that carrot cupcake tree is *awesome*! (I could really relate to the after midnight run to Wally's World to get a missing ingredient.)

I never went to grad school, but it doesn't surprise me that they are trying to drown everyone in a pool of reading at the very beginning, probably to see who will sink and who will swim, a sort of 'survival of the fittest' factor.
