I had an argument with my mother about this; my mother, who has never, ever, ever been to a con and stopped reading much new science fiction shortly after my birth (but I have to keep some James White around for her to read when she visits) was defending the woman's right to wear that uniform to court while I was verbally shredding her for not wearing the dress uniform.

OK, that probably now outs me as some sort of class of geek that half of the rest of you don't want to be around. So be it. At least I'm not a furry. Or a Klingon. :)
