Heroes: For the second consecutive year, one major plot has Sylar driving cross-country, separated from the rest of the main cast. I cannot consider this a good development, especially since this season's reason for the vacation is to find his daddy. Yawn. And since the main story arc requires Nathan to be totally blind to the way his good intentions have been completely perverted, and his control usurped, I'm not pleased about the way that's going, either. I do like the change in Peter, although I wonder how they expect him to stand up to Sylar when it comes down to that. Very glad that they've only introduced two new heros this season; not so glad that one has been stuck being Sylar's foil and the other is yet ANOTHER potential love interest for Claire. I continue to hope that they'll resolve this arc in a way that isn't completely stupid and lame . . . but it's only a hope, not an expectation. One non-spoiler prediction: I totally think I know who Rebel is. I'll be sure to post again when we find out, to tell you if I was right.
Lost: Now this is more like it. After the plodding plot of the second and third seasons and the just plain bizarre machinations of the fourth, we're finally getting some answers to what the heck is going on around here, and the storytelling has picked it up several notches both in pacing and in quality. I have more hope now that Lindelof and Cuse actually know where they want the story to go and have a decent idea how to get there. Looking forward to the second half of this season.
BSG: No one at all has a good day anymore, do they? With only four episodes left (and only three weeks, the last one being a double), I'm not at all sure how, or even if, they intend to wrap up the various dangling plot threads. I will say that if I were Cavil, I'd be jumping my base ship away as fast as I could goose the Hybrid to do it. He won't, of course, because he's too arrogant to think of the Colonial/Cylon joint fleet as a threat. I have NO idea where this story is going, and I love it.
