Copacabana!

The next stop on my global itinerary is Brazil.  While not necessarily at the top of my list, it's always been a place I wanted to visit.  I had a week of vacation coming up, and I was going to go to London, but since Dan was going to be in Brazil teaching at around the same time, I decided I should jump on the opportunity to join him.  (Yes, I ( Read more... )

You so need to tell me in advance when you're gonna go somewhere. After the wedding I'll be way more likely to go along. I was actually thinking recently that I'd really like to go to Brazil again soon...mainly 'cause I just got back in touch with 3 awesome friends who live there so now I have people to visit. It's actually kinda funny...y'know how Orkut was totally overrun by a whole bunch of Brazilians? Well, that's how I was able to find my friends with whom I'd lost touch years ago ( ... )

Okay well I wrote a nice, long response to this in my email client which failed to submit it properly, so I'll sumarrize here.

I should totally hook up with Neto--all my best friends are racist!

And I didn't mean to -not- invite anyone, this was totally last-minute. I only started even -thinking- about going to Brazil instead of London a few weeks ago. Plus I can't get you any discounts on other airlines so you'd be looking at shelling out a nice $1100 for a ticket as well, unless you have a nice company to pay for the damn thing.

If Foz do Iguacu isn't too far away it would be cool to visit. It's really frustrating going to someplace so new and huge and exciting and having no time to explore it. I'll arrive Monday morning, have until Friday night, then leave for Buenos Aires Saturday morning and return to Mpls Wed. night. It really sucks! Oh well, at least I get to go.

Anyway, maybe I'll see you tonight or tomorrow and I can talk to you more about it. :)

LJ is awesome.

You know it is.

You've been inside it.

Just like Jeff Bridges was inside that computer in Tron.

It's awesome.

Maybe you can find the kid who stole your username on LJ!

Seriously, that sounds like an exciting little trip :) Tell Dan to get online once in a while, too!
