Part 5: Relationships With Others
53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
Oh, I’m pretty rude, I know. I just go about my business and don’t give a crap about others. But if I started to get to know somebody, who might be a friend, I’d be nicer. You know, assuming I met someone I thought would make a good friend. I’m kind of snarky but I’d tone it down if I was trying to get to know someone. I still rib my friends and stuff but if they’re really my friends, they’d take it and probably be able to dish it back.
54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
Ugh…unfortunately, I’d have to say Seto Kaiba. He saved my life. I can’t forget that. I can’t forget any of the things he said to me, even if I haven’t had any contact with him since he beat me.
55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
Hm. Probably…Yugi. I mean…him and the pharaoh. They won, they did something really amazing, and they saved all of us from ourselves. I respect that. Even more than I respected Raphael.
56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
Well, my only two friends in the world are scattered, I haven’t seen them since our master died. Valon was closer to me than Raphael, because we were the same age and both pretty snarky. He’s Aussie, so naturally, he’s mouthy and extroverted and all that. Raphael was more of an introvert, all quiet and stern, he kept the other two of us in line. He was like a big brother to me.

No.
58. Have you ever been in love?
No.
59. What do you look for in a potential lover?
He’d better be good with his hands and his tongue. Unless you’re talking about romantic stuff, then I don’t know. I don’t care about love, I wouldn’t know what I wanted out of someone like that. Probably respect.
60. How close are you to your family?
They’re all dead, thanks for asking, asshole.

No. I’m gay, it’s never going to happen.

Desperate…probably Kaiba. He’d slam the door in my face but I actually know him. I don’t know where Valon and Raphael are or I’d turn to them.
63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?
No. I can’t rely on anyone else. I’m all I’ve got.
64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?
Nobody. Not even Kaiba. I mean, I went missing from his hospital, he probably just shrugged and instantly forgot I existed.
65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?
Dartz. He ruined my life and made me blame it all on Kaiba. I would despise Kaiba, like I did for so many years, but he’s the only person who was ever really brutally honest with me. He beat me fairly, I don’t begrudge him that.
66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
I’m an arguer.
67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
I guess. I don’t know what that really means. But I have my pick of admirers when I go out to clubs and bars, and turn them down at will.

I guess. I don’t know.

Not really. There are occasionally jerks in some parts of Europe who like to mouth off because I’m Croatian, but I don’t give a crap. I haven’t been of that nationality for almost ten years.

Hacking into the most secure computer systems just to see if I can do it. Going out dancing at clubs. Riding my motorcycle. Duel Monsters.

My little brother’s action figure. It was almost destroyed when he was, it’s all I have left of him.

Software manuals and computer magazines.

Clubbing, and club music. I like action, and I admit I kinda like bad kung fu movies. European motorcycle racing. Okay…porn. But the artsy type, not the raunchy stupid butt-pirate type.

I drink a little, but only a beer now and then.

Out clubbing until dawn.

Not a whole lot. Man, I can’t think of anything. Not even insults, I don’t get offended.

Probably go out to a bar, or an all-night club. Walk the streets, or take a ride on my bike.

Totally spontaneous. I’ve been hopping around Europe living off embezzled money, I can go anywhere and do anything whenever I want it, so I do.

You know…I don’t have any goals. The one thing I did want to do, or was made to want, I failed at, and that’s probably a good thing. So now…I have nothing.
