I recently received a book of music containing scores for several pieces of music I like very much. One of them is an Edward Gerhard piece called "5 to 99," which is an interesting piece with echoes of Skip James

I love Gerhard. I have his live album. A couple of tracks on it remind me strongly of Edmonson's music for Firefly, and I dearly love that genre of music.

If you like the live album - which is, as I recall, enticingly titiled "the live album" - try "House of Guitars" and "Sunnyland." Both are (IMHO) excellent; the former is my favorite of the two but the latter has " 5 to 99" on it.
