You may have seen my grumbly post a while back about being stuck on stories that don't seem to be going anywhere. Well, I've decided to call it a day on two of the four stories I was talking about. They're both NCIS, one is a crossover with Leverage, with nearly 20 pages each of rambling. I'm going to put in some cuts here to lay out the storylines and some of the scenes I wrote that I really enjoyed. Once that's done I'm going to move them into a separate folder, and forget about them for a while. At least one of these stories has already been in a similar folder for a few months, and was pulled back out after I'd forgotten everything I wrote for it. There's a chance this might happen again, but there's also a chance I'm just going to leave them be for the sake of my own sanity and creative process.
Anywho, if anyone is interested in reading a bit about them, here you go:
Untitled Fantasy Medieval Demonic AU
Pairing: Tony/Gibbs
Plot: Gibbs is a celebrated warrior who saves the kingdom and is rewarded with a meeting with Tony - the Lord Morrow's secret adopted son, who also happens to be part-demon. Gibbs contracts an infection from his last battle, Tony cares for him through it and they fall in love.
Ducky is the doctor, Palmer is a stable boy, Kate is the armourer, Ziva is the weapons master, McGee is Gibbs' apprentice, Fornell is Gibbs' oldest friend, and Abby is just sort of there.
The plan was for Lord Morrow to pass his throne on to Tony, with Gibbs at his side, and there would have been some training scenes where Gibbs showed Tony how to swordfight. I hadn't even really decided what Tony could do as a demon.
Scenes I Liked:
I don't know if it's just my frustration, but the more I read through this one, the harder it is to actually pick out any scenes that I enjoy for their own sake. The story as I have it flows well enough, but there are no key parts I can point to as particularly outstanding; none that stick in my memory without having to re-read the whole thing.
And...
Untitled NCIS/Leverage Crossover
Pairings: Tony/Gibbs, Eliot/Hardison/Parker
Plot: The Leverage crew run into problems on a job, and Eliot decides to go to the only person in law enforcement he can trust: Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
This story was literally pieced together from the ideas that Eliot and Gibbs would have worked Black Ops together, and how funny it would be if the character Beth Riesgraf played in NCIS was actually Parker on a grift. Such a flimsy concept is probably why this one is going nowhere.
Scenes I Liked:
[Eliot, Parker, Gibbs, and Tony in the NCIS gym]
Silence fell again for a moment, before Tony got a mischievous look on his face and stepped up to Eliot.
“C’mon then,” he said with a grin. “Show me what Gibbs taught you back when you were doing whatever you were doing together that got you calling him ‘Gunny’.”
Eliot looked from Gibbs’ surprised expression to Tony, whose smile gave way to a curiosity Eliot didn’t want to put a name to. Instead, he smirked back and stepped over to the wrestling mats that were laid out close by. Tony smiled widely at a still stunned Gibbs before joining Eliot at the mats.
“I’ve learned a few things since then,” Eliot offered the friendly warning. “You sure you wanna do this?”
“I’ve got a pretty hard head,” Tony teased. “Although I will admit I’m a little squishy around the kidneys.”
“Try not to break my best agent, Spencer,” Gibbs added, causing Tony to laugh.
“Wow, you must be friends!” Tony’s smile was wide as he spoke. “Gibbs doesn’t like admitting how great I am in front of other people.”
“Afraid someone’s gonna steal you away?” Eliot responded with a quirked eyebrow. The look on Gibbs’ face was scandalised and irritated, and it made Eliot grin.
Tony took in the exchange between the two, before fixing his gaze on Gibbs even as he answered Eliot’s question. “No danger of that. I know where I belong.”
Gibbs’ expression immediately softened. All three men looked up at the soft gasp Parker gave, to see her looking like a final piece of the puzzle was slotting into place. Nobody said anything for a moment, and Tony drew attention away by playfully shoving at Eliot’s shoulder. Eliot looked at him and smirked again; he could clearly see the need in Tony to pull focus away from what Parker thought she had discovered. With a nod that was imperceptible to anyone but Tony, Eliot took a step forward and put his hands up in a defensive stance. He flicked one wrist in a ‘come on’ gesture, and Tony laughed aloud before stepping forward to meet him.

[Parker and Tony in the stairwell]
Halfway up the stairs Parker stopped and touched Tony’s elbow to get his attention. Turning towards her, Tony waited for her to speak. She seemed unsure of herself for a moment before finally meeting Tony’s eyes.
“Do you love him?”
“Yes.”
“Does he know?”
At this Tony laughed softly; Parker would almost call it sad.
“I’ve told him. A lot. Whether or not he really believes me is still up for debate, but…” Tony stopped for a moment, looking off to the side of Parker’s head. “It’s not something we can exactly spread around the office, so sometimes it can be hard to make him understand how much…”
“He knows,” Parker interrupted, and Tony looked at her with confusion. “The way he was looking at you down there; he definitely knows, and he feels the same. When Eliot looks at me or Hardison that way, I can feel it all the way down.”
Tony grinned at Parker in response before tilting his head back towards the stairs. “They’ll be wondering where we are.”
Parker smiled, happy that she must have said something right, and followed Tony up the stairs.

[Chapter Fragments: At Gibbs' house]
He led the group up to his house without a word, but the silence was broken by Parker when he opened the door.
“Why isn’t your door locked?” She asked. Gibbs smirked at her before he replied.
“Has a lock ever stopped you?”
...................
Gibbs entered the living room just as the front door was shutting, and a moment later Tony was standing in front of him. The quirk of Tony’s lip told Gibbs immediately that if they didn’t have company, he would be ready to collapse into Gibbs’ arms. Together they turned to look at the room’s other occupants. Eliot was standing by the fireplace, still on his guard. Hardison and Parker were sitting on the sofa, Parker’s legs resting across Hardison’s lap in a relaxed pose that made Gibbs smile to himself. He moved to sit in the chair, and Tony perched himself on the armrest.
“Pizza will be here in fifteen,” Eliot spoke up. Gibbs nodded in acknowledgement, and a comfortable silence fell for a few more moments.
“So what do we do now?” Parker prompted when the quiet became too much for her.
“Now,” Hardison took the question, squeezing one of Parker’s ankles as he spoke. “We eat pizza, and hopefully after that we take a nap.”
“I second that nap idea,” Tony spoke from his position next to Gibbs. “Actually I should probably make up the guest room.”
“I thought this was Gibbs’ house?” Hardison asked. “I’ve heard of tough bosses, but if he’s making you do housework I think you need to join a union, man.”
“You’re being stupid again,” Parker offered with a fond smile. Hardison looked back at Tony and Gibbs, and finally saw the way they were leaning towards each other; how relaxed they were together.
“Oh…” Hardison trailed off and looked towards Eliot. “So they know…”
“Yeah.” Gibbs answered.
“Then why are you all the way over there?” Hardison asked Eliot, a look of indignation now on his face. Eliot huffed a laugh in response before joining Parker and Hardison on the sofa. Parker moved so that Eliot could sit down and rested her head on his shoulder once he was situated.
....................
“Is everything alright?” Tony’s first words as soon as Gibbs shut the door to their bedroom had Gibbs smiling fondly.
“All good,” he assured Tony as he began undressing for bed. “Hardison just needed a little talk.”
“Scared you were going to steal his man?” Tony asked with a smirk. Gibbs chuckled and slid into bed next to Tony.
“I don’t know why everyone things I’m some kind of Casanova all of a sudden.”
“Well, I can’t speak for Hardison,” Tony replied as he draped himself across Gibbs’ now prone body. “But I’ve got first hand knowledge of just how good you are.” Tony grinned widely when he saw Gibbs blush at the comment. Gibbs’ response was to pull Tony in and kiss him. The younger man went soft and pliant under Gibbs’ touch, as he often did, and Gibbs pulled Tony against his chest when they parted.
“I’m lucky to have you,” Gibbs spoke with sincerity, and Tony tightened his hold around his lover’s waist. “I don’t need anybody else.”
“I love you,” Tony’s reply came after a moment of silence. Gibbs kissed the top of Tony’s head.
“Love you too, Tony.”
~
Hardison closed the door as quietly as he could. A quick look over to the bed showed that Eliot was still asleep. Hardison was smiling at his sleeping form, and the sound of a whisper from the window made him jump.
“Where did you go?” Parker asked.
“The basement,” Hardison replied, stepping closer to the window so he could keep his voice hushed. “Gibbs and I talked.”
“I like him,” Parker offered. “He makes Eliot’s eyes do that crinkly smiling thing.” As Parker spoke, she climbed in through the window and closed it behind her. Hardison stepped back to give her space to move into the bedroom.
“He’s a good guy,” Hardison agreed. “Tony too.”
“I’m sleepy,” Parker’s response was unrelated, but Hardison was used to her mental acrobatics. “Coming to bed?”
Hardison gave Parker a wide grin. “Where else would I wanna be?"
That last chapter-y bit is the end of what I have so far. I think the biggest problem with this story is that I don't have the case worked out. NCIS casefics and Leverage confics both need to have the plot worked out beforehand, and I haven't done that with this.
If anyone is at all curious about the stories I've written; whether it's to read what I've done so far or to possibly write yourself, please feel free to request a copy via email. Do bear in mind that the likelihood of me finishing these stories is miniscule, so if you decide you want to read them you're taking your own risk of never having the story concluded for you.
