[The feed starts playing as soon as the Dreamberry hits the ground and lays itself flat, screen-up, on the floor. The room is rather dim save for the bright stream of light that filtered from the three computer monitors that rested on the table top. The light emitting from said monitors is enough to make out a rather weary looking Jensen, tapping ( Read more... )

[and he just commented on Grell's-]

What is with you people and not wearing clothes when using the Dreamberry!?

Such technology did not exist in my world. At least not such an advanced state.

Well, nothing is stopping you from learning about it now, is there?

[a small laugh.]

No, I suppose not. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can go about learning?

Just find a computer and just start fiddling around. Doesn't need to be this kind of set up either. One monitor, CPU with a decent processor, mouse, keyboard and you should be fine.

Hm...I see. [will find a "Computers for Dummies" book later.

but this talk of computers reminds him of something.]

Have you seen the super computer down in the tunnels?

Believe it or not, I haven't. All I've seen so far are whatever files the Dreamberry has on it.

It's rather...complicated. I don't know if you'd be able to glean anything from it, but perhaps an expert might be better at investigating it.

The way you're putting it makes it sound like something I should really check out. I'll try to see what I can do with this for a while longer, then head down those tunnels as soon as I can. I need a break from all this coding anyway so a little recon might just hit the spot.

It seemed to hold a lot of data, but I couldn't make heads or tails of it. Any help would be appreciated.

On your own time, of course. [it's not like any of them, computer included, were going anywhere any time soon.]

If I find anything out, I'll have you to thank. And you'll be the first one I share that data with. [Even if he'd probably go and tell everyone instead.]

Name's Jake Jensen. Nice to meet you-- [Looks at the caller ID.] Death? That's some name you got there. Unless you want to be called something else of course.

Thank you, Mr. Jensen.

And you can just call me Kid.

Kid it is then. Thanks again for the info. I'll try to see what I could do about it ASAP.
