I just finished reading my son The Tale of Despereaux. And when I got to the coda, Storyteller, I wept. Because right now, I am in a fair bit of darkness. Co-signed! Though with me it hit a few years later since the worst of my darkness didn't hit till a while after I read the book.

I need to read that book! I have absolutely loved some of her other books, like Winn-Dixie and the lovely Mercy Watson series.

Thanks, dear. And yes - you REALLY need to read the book, and when Mr. Darcy is old enough to handle somewhat scary stuff you should read it aloud to him because it is SO wonderful to read aloud!

I woke up thinking about you, today, and wishing you well. I'm saddened to learn that you are dealing with pain, but am gladdened that you are surrounded by stories that shed light, and surrounded by people with whom you can share those stories.
