Blazing home under the sodium haven and a big purple brolly, howling along to the Ben E King classic. I want to scare as many wet pedestrians as possible

Love that song so much. Was singing it the other day.
Also love his 'Save The Last Dance For Me' with The Drifters, but confess to being spectacularly ignorant of his other works, wonder if there is some other equally potent unsung gem I'm yet to nestle my eyes and ears upon.
It is just so anthemic. We used to sing it in our little pack as a warm up on the way to acting rehearsals, so it will always hold special place in my wizened half beating heart.
I have a worse confession - this is The Only Ben E King song I've ever heard, knowingly :P I plan to amend this, along with broadening my tastes to accomodate Al Bowly. If I can get out of this Placebo phase, that is. Only select tracks, though - Nancy Boy is still a thriller-killer.
I love to see the amazement on some people's faces when I tell them that the song was not, in fact, composed by our Good Lord Sir Stephen King, O he of the Dark Wit and Seedy-Underbelly Unseaming. Gag.
(I was a fan, once. Still am, though only of his ideas; his writing style makes my teeth itch, particuarly after watching Garth Marenghi's Dark Place.)
I think you should play this song as your first for 2012. For old time's sake.
