Bus Boy

That's the working title of my ongoing story, which began life as a 3-chapter shortie for a bit of a laugh. An old woman wittering on a bus I happened to be sitting on (unluckily behind her) started the whole thing. I guess I owe her, so she gets to live a bit longer ( Read more... )

Basically since my hiatus from here back in September. I was finishing up a set of short stories, then had an unforgettable experience on a bus home one Sunday, and tried to imagine how a young girl caught up in a panic attack would react. She'd head for one person she just about knew, cling to him to stay calm.

Absotively ;) what better playground for half-feral kids than a labyrinth of curving thorns, sweet buddleia and warped sidings? Not to mention the battered old cake of a station house - 'homebase' in many a game of Tag.
