I s'pose...I'm wonderin' how they're gonna approach th' whole thin', though, with them bein' leaded by this new Minist'r.

That depends on the Minister, doesn't it?

Partly. It'd also rather depend on how th' Ministry reacts t' Mr. West's leadership. I certainly don' know him at all t' know his style o' runnin' things.

*little sad half-smile* Yeah, I've been comin' down t' th' kitchens t' cook t' try and keep m'self busy. Plus th' house elves are pretty unhappy about th' castle being so empty too.

It's not a wise move. I would prefer a neutral stance. I can't say I have a liking in Mr. Dent. But I don't hate him, either.

I can' say I liked Mr. Dent's policies all tha' much either...but I do wish tha' he coulda left without somethin' like this havin' made him do so. No decent person can wish wha' happened t' him on anyone, after all.

...But I'm afraid I can' agree with y', Sveinn. The Death Eaters won' treat us any better if we stay neutral in response to their actions. Ignorin' the problem won' help...they'll jus' continue t' do what they're doin' and worse, and we can' let that happen.

Well, what happened to him is horrible, and I suppose I can understand why he choose to declare war on the Death Eaters. But resigning shortly after that? Somehow, that comes off as cowardly to me. It was like he don't want to accept the consequences. I'm not the bravest wizard on the face of the Earth either, but...

[ He just couldn't help it when it comes to politics. ]

You don't have to agree with me. Everyone has their own opinion(s). You've got a point there, Tiana, but I won't be provoked. They're trying to provoke us, and with a war, we gave them exactly what they wanted.

[ Defense is the best offense. ]

I agree he shouldn' have resigned afterwards...but I'd think that if someone was gonna resign righ' after makin' such a statement that he musta talked t' th' new Minister and come t' an agreement about th' statement. After all, it's not like he's gonna have a say 'bout what happens after he leaves...it's up t' Mr. West when he takes power what he does about th' Death Eaters.

I don' know if it is what they want, war. I think all they want is power, and they'll take it either through violence or through tramplin' over th' system. I don' think we should see it as a war, since treatin' these people as anythin' less than a group spreadin' intolerence is givin' 'em too much credit...but I think doin' nothin' and ignorin' 'em wouldn't solve th' problem either.
