Man what an emotional rollercoaster! Poor Fallout, and then for Shortfall to have to watch...and then she tells him it was deliberate on her part....D= Good to see that he's fitting in with the rest tho.
(but that bit about BITING the 'con...lol I totally missed that. Poor Shortfall is going to need to gargle with disinfectant or something)

This was an interesting one to write, to be honest - but also a really important one/moment for Shortfall, and I wanted it to be done in a way which highlighted the partnership/friendship he and Fallout developed slowly over the years/centuries/whathaveyou. Shortfall lives very much in the moment, so having to stop and think and evaluate all that time and the consequences of those attachments was a pretty big thing for him. :)

(In the heat of the moment, people don't even notice what they do either - fact is, Shortfall himself hadn't realized until Fallout told him he'd done that particular bit as well. Heh heh.)
