I dunno if it's confirmed though.

But i swear whoever thought of wanting him for the part just went: "uuuh, he has similar hair?"

they probably haven't researched the fanbase at all and so are expecting it to be some kind of kiddy film like high school musical but without music. and I bet they make a romantic story line which would suck. T_T

But i must say I did quite like the fan choice for L. I dunno if you've looked any of this up but the guy that fans wanted would definately look the part with the right hairstyle and a bit of eyeliner, and he's won some acting awards AND he hasn't been in a childrens film! XD

Uuurgh! Not a kiddy film with a romantic storyline!
It'll be like Cinderella Story (not the cool version unfortunately) with a book that can kill people instead of lame emails or whatever Cinderella Story had (I haven't seen it in ages...)

At least that guy seems to have potential as L. Hopefully the producers will at least get that right.
