Ed wanders the Nexus, head down, hands in pockets, and tail swaying slightly. He's paying minimal attention to his surroundings, but then he does have Maes riding on his shoulder to pay attention to things for him.

Totally lost this time. Katydid looks up from her PINpoint and twitches her antennae with a gleeful grin, then wonders if half an hour at home is the same as half an hour here.

Bummer....

Ed sees a bit of pink out the corner of his eye where there shouldn't be any such color and turns his head to look.

"Uh, hi."

The six foot tall youngling blinks her large brown optics. "Hi! Do you know if time passes the same here as in other places?"

"It varies. For some people only a few minutes go by back home no matter how long they spend here, for others, more time goes by. Why?"

[random_xtras]

"Argh." She grumbles. "I got half an hour to come here and explore, but I don't know if half an hour here is half an hour at home."

"Go with being here for half an hour and find out how long it's been when you go back home?" Ed suggests. "I did something like that while trying to figure out the time difference between here and where I'm from."

"Yeah... I just hope Kickback and the others don't freak out." She frowns and pokes at her PINpoint, antennae twitching.

Ed shrugs. "If they do, just point out that no one thought to let you know what the time difference between here and there is and that it's their own fault."

She frowns and bounces absently, running over the exact words she was let away with. "Yeah, that'll work. I think."

Ed looks around at the trees surrounding them. "Any particular reason you picked here to go to? Or were you just picking a random spot?"

"Random," she says cheerfully. "I was pressing buttons."

Ed squeezes his eyes shut with a pained look on his face. "Do you have any idea what could have happened as a result of that?"

Another antennae twitch. "I guess I could land on somebody, but I'd locked out the coordinates of buildings and stuff."

"I was thinking more along the lines of merged with someone or something." His tail lashes agitatedly.

[random_xtras]

"Aren't there failsafes built in for that kind of thing?" She frowns.

[haganenomore]

"Well, one would certainly hope so, but you shouldn't count on it either."
