A very scary thing happened at school today. Last night, two New Trier seniors were driving on the Edens, and got cutoff. The details I'm not to sure on, but one way or another the car hit the cement divider, and flipped over. The passenger was relatively fine, minor injuries. The driver was in critical care. That blows. She blows, but you kinda half wanted this? Either way, death is scary, and it was scarier today when they said that she actually died. They put up this huge banner and lit candles and all her friends and classmates and people who knew her wrote notes to her on the banner. I don't know what they're planning to do with the banner, seeing as she can't read it. I suppose they will give it to her sister or parents.

I've never met an abassador before! how cool is that. It;s hard to act like nothing is awkward especially because i believe that absoultely everything i do ( including writing this comment) is awkward. i dont even know if you can read this reply. do i have to comment your livejournal now also? to make sure you read that? what if you got an e mail for both and it was the same thing.

Maybe commeting twice is a little over the top, but I appreciate it. And, if you were on the Hebrew Field Trip last year, you did meet an abassador. The guy who came to speak to us was the ambassador from the Israeli Consulate. But if you weren't on the field trip, or don't take hebrew at all....then that is awkward.

well, i wasnt sure how it worked.
i was not on the hebrew field trip last year. I took only french
this year, i take both french and hebrew so i was on the field trip this year.
so i do take hebrew at all.
you think that's awkward? man if you were me talking to hag boys you would have burried your head in the sand like an ostrich from awkwardness.

I was in the library at wash u and picked up a copy of the chicago tribune as I do whenever they get a new issue (maybe weekly) and I saw on the front page an obituary about Ari. I immediately recognized her face and read the obituary. It was really intense. I think I had gym with her, but I'm not sure. It's weird how such a small person in your life can have their own huge life and the only connection you have is knowing their face.
