Tamamori woke up when he heard his phone ring. It was loud and he realized it was just beside his face on the pillow. He squinted his eyes to check the caller and wasn't even surprised to see it at 3am. and it's not just a call, it is a facetime call. Inoo is currently away in Saitama for a segment in mezamashi TV and was sleeping in a hotel there.
Tamamori laid on his side and click on the answer button.
"I can't sleep" The other side murmured sleepily.
Despite being sleepy himself, Tamamori raised an eyebrow at the man on the screen with his face that says otherwise.
"Oh yeah, you look it" Tamamori croaked.
"Hmm..." Inoo sighed with his eyes closed, the screen on Inoo's side was slightly shaky.
"Kei, you can barely hold your phone" Tamamori pointed out even though he was actually delighted to see Inoo.
"No, that's just... bad connection" Inoo reasoned out and opened his eyes to look at his sleepy lover on the phone's screen. He flip on his stomach and held his phone in front of him with his chin on the pillow.
Inoo asked "Whatchu up to?"
Tamamori managed a small smile at the stupid question.
"I'm bowling, having a beer. Having a good time and you?" Tamamori replied and he sat up on the mattress and resting his back against the bed's headboard.
"I have three mosquito bites on my arm" Inoo answered. "I'd show it to you but I'm comfortable" He said and refused to move.
Tamamori looked at Inoo in the screen skeptically "That's weird, considering the fact you barely eat anything sweet"
"I ate a bunch of tomatoes this week, remember?" Inoo reminded.
Tamamori nodded. It was that time when Tamamori helped Inoo cleaned his refrigerator to stuff tomatoes inside for Inoo's show. It was for image sake. It was not that Inoo lied the fact he likes Tomatoes but because it'll be more convincing and interesting to have just tomatoes inside the refrigerator.
"It looked like a pyramid" Inoo added.
"What looked like a pyramid?" Tamamori asked.
"The mosquito bites. Either that or a cone" Inoo explained.
Tamamori shake his head in amusement. "You called just to tell me that?"
"I don't wanna talk about work" Inoo stated.
Then something must have happened that Inoo didn't like, Tamamori suspected.
"You don't have to" Tamamori replied.
"I just can't wait to go back home" Inoo sighed against the pillow.
If there is one person Inoo can be truly honest to is Tamamori.
Tamamori understand Inoo loves to travel, he loves going to places and explore but deep inside Inoo gets homesick easily, but to say that about his own hometown? There are two places Inoo genuinely loves, his bed and Saitama.
"You're in Saitama" Tamamori said.
"Yeah but you're the best place to be in the world" Inoo murmured.
"God, you're so cheesy" Tamamori scoffed.
"But I you're always the person I want to be with" Inoo yawned.
Okay so there are things Tamamori still have to learn about Inoo. He is aware Inoo can say words that melts but that's just fan service. In reality, Inoo is a realistic person. If the fans knew, they would lose interest in him. But there are times where Inoo is romantic to Tamamori and Tamamori is fine with either.
"Can I ask you a question?" Inoo asked.
"Sure" Tamamori answred at once.
"Do you want me to break up with Miya?"
It is now confirmed Tamamori is fully awake. They had this conversation before and Tamamori knew the outcome. But to ask that out of the blue is different.
"Well like I said before, Yes. Since I broke up with Miori" Tamamori pointed out.
"And that was because you had your realization" Inoo continued for him.
Tamamori broke up with Miori because he's had enough with fake dating and settled to be with Inoo in secret. Inoo kept on dating girls as an alibi to stop his parents from worrying that he might be gay. And to get caught in scandals to show he is not gay.
"and your realization is a bit different from mine" Tamamori said "What's the point of this conversation when we know where it's gonna head?"
"I was thinking of breaking up with Miya" Inoo started.
This was a first. Inoo never had once considered breaking up with Miyabi.
"Why?" Tamamori asked.
"If I go out with her longer, it'll just hurt her" Inoo explained.
Tamamori wanted to make a remark that it took Inoo almost a year to realize that but he didn't want to offend Inoo at all.
But instead he said "You know, I didn't break up with Miori just because I didn't wanna hurt her anymore. I did it for-"
"Us. I know" Inoo completed his sentence because really, Tamamori told him that a couple of times before.
"I'm sorry it took me longer to realize that. And to have the conversation like this" He added.
"It's okay. I'm sure we'll have plenty more to come" Tamamori lightened up the mood.
Inoo smiled then he said "You'll have to give me time to do this"
"Take all the time you-" Tamamori replied but a message popped up at the top of the screen from his mother and Tamamori's heart stopped for a moment.
"Yuta?" Inoo called out when Tamamori didn't speak and looking stunned.
"My grandfather passed" Tamamori said unconsciously.
"What?" Inoo suddenly sat up in shock.
"Kei, I have to go" Tamamori said lastly and hung up the call to rush off to be with his family.
