I loved what you said here. There is that sense of malaise about the end -- of the movie and the whole HP 'new stuff' thing. But I still always come out of it feeling happy, and desperate to go again. Maybe I'm in denial, but I want to revel in this movie some more before I cast my thoughts ahead to the next one. This one is just so stunning and beautifully made and acted that I don't want to move on. Or that could be, you know ... that fear of the end coming ;)

Beautifully expressed, and I couldn't agree more! Even my hubby, who is not a huge fan, wants to keep going to see this one. It's truly a masterpiece!

ETA: This is Crafty Witch Jenn from Leaky, by the way. I'll be f-listing you right now ;)

I couldn't have said it better myself. I feel exactly the same way. It is sad to think that we actually see an end to the movies in sight. But thankfully Jo left us with enough questions that we're still talking two years later. I too, feel that the fims are in good hands. You also know, after having talking with me, that I loved this film as well. I think they did a wonderful job, but that knowledge that the end is coming is a bit sad too.

I knew we would disagree on this one, D--but what are friends for! :P

Glad you came around a bit on Hooper's score--I wished he hadn't reused so much of it from OotP, but I like THAT score, and he was just pulling a "John Williams."

Beautiful words, twinner! And so very true! I too fear the end, just as I did with the books, because I love it so very much. HBP is an amazing masterpiece in so many ways, from character to cinematography to music. Still ADORE Journey to the Cave, it's just incredible.
Here we go into the last movie release, both too far away and too soon. But even when it is over that doesn't mean all the friendships we have made have to end. When are you going to come visit me again? :) *hugs*
