Russian Rose at TFAW.com

Hey,

Question for you all - I know that Kowloon Nights has been and still is on sale at TFAW.com but it seems Russian Rose, which I could swear was buy-able a month or so back, is now on pre-order? So what does that mean? It's like sold out? Has anyone bought a copy in English From Dark Horse comics?

Actually Dark Hose never released it... And they've taken the picture of Russian Rose vol. 1 off their website too... http://www.darkhorse.com/Search/Browse/blood+plus/PpwNwkt8

So I'm not really holding my breath that they're going to release vol 1 or 2 of Russian Rose any time soon or at all for that matter... Which makes me really sad... They released all the other books and manga and stopped with only 2 left... =\

OMG it IS gone! DX I checked over the weekend and I swear it was still there and now POOF? Damn...that's not good news at all. Either they're not releasing it at all or they just pushed it back...waaaay back like they'd done with the Nankuranaisa novel except it was only a few months difference. Hope it'll come out...eventually. T_T Well at least I can still buy Kowloon Nights.

Thanks for the heads up. :D

Kind of related question, but is Russian Rose the novel form of Blood+: Adagio?

Yeah it sort of confuses me too but from what I understand, it's either another story from the Russian Revolution story in Adagio in novel form with some pictures like the other novels or it's the same story in novel form. Really I figured I'd just buy it and see. I've seen some images from Russian Rose and some of them do not match up from anything I've read from Adagio so I'm assuming Russian Rose is another story or version of it.

Sorry if I'm intruding, however, I've run into this issue, too

I actually ended up eMailing DarkHorse and they say they've discontinued Russian Rose and it shan't be sold to the public. They gave no explanation behind it :/

Also, Russian Rose is separate from Blood+: Adagio. Each arc-- the doujinshi novels, Kowloon, Blood+, Blood+ Adagio, the anime, live action movie, anime movie-- they're all their own interpretation of the story and aren't actually connected like, persay, the Star Wars books (yes, I know I'm a geek). Russian Rose is entirely separate from Adagio, however, the author was still able to confer with Aniplex and I.G. Productions, so it's also very explanatory concerning the anime, most likely
This is exactly why it's so sad they're not selling it anymore and I've been unable to find it translated anywhere online T.T
It's being sold in Japan in the original Japanese, so anyone who's fluent in nihongo could easily pick it up lol ^^ (that's my plan in a couple years *cough, cough*)

No worries. You're never intruding if you're contributing to the lovely Blood+ convo at hand. :D

And holy sh*t you mean they're NEVER gonna release it in English?! What kind of craptastic thing is that? I wonder why... Ah so Russian Rose can be considered AU or like you said, the author's own take on it? Man, Japanese speakers have all the fun. If only someone would scanlate it. If I knew that someone would scanlate it, I'd happily hunt it down and buy it in Japanese. Who knows, I might end up buying it anyway IF I could ever find it and it isn't a million bucks. *sigh* Well, thanks for the heads up. Sucks that we'll never get that one book...

Haha, now I have a user ^^

It's on sale at Amazon.jp for 400 yen (I THINK). It's 'bout five dollars-- so cheap!! Lucky Japanese peoples ><...
