So glad you got back to this and with three new chapters. I loved it. Can't wait for more. The tentative reconciliation of Potter and Snape is really good.
I love how you've written Flitwick in this. Badass with a wand, so damned nice you want to strangle him, and yet troubled by having used his skills in battle. I've wanted to see this sort of take on Flitwick for such a long time. It just illustrates the superb touch you have with the characters that's kept me enthralled over the months and years. One of the dangers of a fanfic series this long is having it devolve into saccharine domesticity, where the characters become bland caricatures of themselves. Not so, Tango Lessons! Thank you for sharing this!
It's been years that I've worked on this series, hasn't it? *gulp* Thanks for being patient and still reading. Thanks also for the compliments. While I've tried hard to show that both Hagrid and Severus (in particular) have evolved and mellowed as their relationship has grown, I have tried hard to still keep them 'Hagrid' and 'Snape'. Glad that's coming through.
I wanted Flitwick to be 'human' - with all the strengths and weaknesses and excentricities that entails. There's got to be more to Flitwick than just being short and teaching Charms. In the books, he's the Head of House we hear least about. Yet even cannon hints that he was a champion duellist in his younger days. There's got to be some interesting backstory we haven't seen...
