Beautiful, beautiful story. Y'know, when I first came across this website, my mind had this, "...WTF? How can Snape/Hagrid WORK?" moment and I just sat there and boggled for awhile. But then I got around to reading these fics and oh, you're by far my favorite author for this pairing and one of the best I've found in the HP fandom altogether! I'm totally in love with your tender, firm Hagrid and snappish, vulnerable Snape - they complement each other so well I want to weep at the sheer loss JKR created by having Snape die and Hagrid stay alone. And this isn't even taking into account your amazing plots - I loved the showdown between Snape and Voldemort, and the dramatic entrance of Harry. Not to mention the nifflers and the Australian miners! And...oh boy I'm rambling here. Just goes to show how much I absolutely love your perfect fic. And that I can't decide to be happy or sad that there's only one chapter left.
WTF?!? is a common response for many HP fans when they trip across Snape/Hagrid ('Snagrid') for the first time. You have plenty of company. LOL! Yet for those who are curious enough (or brave enough ;-) to read such stories, it's surprising how many of them become converts in believing that the pairing could WORK

Hmm. Yea, that's what I tell myself - Snape's a survivor, there's NO way he's gonna be taken out by something as ignominious as a snake bite. If he can survive being a spy for two wars, it'll take more than maddened idiotic Dark Lords to off him! But even if that's the case, I still can't see him as being happy in his new life. After witnessing atrocities, being shunned by all, and killing his mentor, I get the feeling that whatever life he lives in the future would be steeped in guilt, misery and misogyny.
Or maybe I'm just not crediting Snape with enough fortitude. Nyah, I need closure on this! Probably will never get it...
So yea, I've just introed a new friend to this website, and y'know what? Same reaction. A big "WHA-AT?" followed by "...wow. Cool!" And just outta curiosity, would you be starting any new Snagrid stories in the near future? Cos I'd love to see more.
Yes, Hagrid can be quite dangerous. His apparent simplicity I think is because he's still a teenager in giant terms (and Grawp at 20 is a toddler).
A Potions master is just a British term for a male schoolteacher who teachers Potions. That's why the Headmaster is called the Head-master. It's entirely possible that Snape also has a Master's degree in Potions but if so that's a separate matter and he'll be called a Master Potioneer or a Master of Potions, in addition to being the school's Potions master.
