("Midland" is not necessarily the same thing as "Midwest") The default, lowest-common-denominator American accent that newscasters try to imitate. Since it's a neutral accent, just because you have a Midland accent doesn't mean you're from the Midland.

Saw this on digg.com today. It's pretty cool, but it also reminded me of a video that Shane and the cinema crew at SIU did a couple years ago called "Live on Tape Delay" which had a sketch with a similar concept. I wish I could find a copy of THAT video online somewhere...

It once again aided me in the rental (and probable purchase) of a new DVD.
