Privatization

As many of us in the 21 - 29 age bracket try and make our way in our respective fields (or at least break into a meaningful career), I think that a lot of us are starting to see the value in keeping certain kinds of information private and confidential. Consequently, thought sharing and storytelling via the internet has come to a screeching halt ( Read more... )

hahaha.. well I'm glad I keep your friends page alive.

If I wasn't confined to my house this summer (my mom had a hip replacement, so I am her 24/7 on-call nurse..wait.. you read my blog.. you probably know that..), I probably wouldn't keep you as entertained blog-wise. I try.

I was actually waiting for this, the livejournal call for entries. I still check it once a week or so. There's the hope that one day someone will post again like back in 2003. 2006 was actually a pretty good year for livejournaling, but nothing like the heyday. Remember when you had to know someone to get a livejournal page? I loved that. It made it feel "exclusive" and cool, like back when facebook was just for people with valid college emails ( ... )

I appreciated your reply, Shane. I wouldn't mind a bit of a revival myself. Even as I was typing that entry, I felt a comforting familiarity to the whole experience. I'm certainly willing to write more myself, though I really hope more people would be willing to write their own blogs again, since reading those was more interesting than reading most of the articles on digg.com's top-dugg stories page these days. And don't get me started on the recent decline in quality on Slashdot...

By the way, was season 3 of Lost worth watching? I stopped watching after the first two episodes of season 3. Or, were you referencing that "reality" program with the island and the people not really in danger of dying?

I stopped watching that after season 5.

Lost season 3 is worth watching. Like season 2, the middle get's bad (maybe even awful) then it picks up toward the end until it justifies itself again.

Don't even get me started on the onion, which apparently thinks it can just quit new print now that it has video podcasts.

I never watched "that 'reality' program," well once maybe four times.

I'll have a new blog up soon. Not just livejournal, but 3 new blogs, look out.
