Do you remember how special hidden tracks used to be on records?

I used to skip to the end when I played new albums just to find secret tracks *sigh*

now the hidden tracks are listed on the covers...what exactly makes them hidden...

And when you burn a CD for someone, it's impossible to bury a track unless you're a studio mixer. Where as with mix *tapes* I could just not include the last track on the listing as a surprise.

Althought I *did* hate it when a secret track I liked was conneccted to the last song on an album so you couldn't skip to it -- like 20 minutes of static in between.

the only way to make a track hidden on a mixtape is to add it to the last song.
