I am sure everyone here remembers our president after September 11 and the start of the war on terrorism. Even though the administration tried as hard as they could from day one to make sure they werent fighting a war against islam, Bush still called the war a crusade, and titled the initial war as OPERATION Infinite Justice.

The framers were a bunch of rich, slave-owning, land hoggin, white men. They were hypocritical when they said all men are created equal. Nonetheless, i agree America is a great place to live. Of course, our rights could be taken away at anytime once GW grants martial law or the government passes another stupid act to invade our privacy even further.

"If i were to choose between this and the matrix....i choose the matrix" -Cipher the traitor

that line is from the matrix, it has actually nothing to do with what i'm talking about...but i just had to say it b/c its such a cool line.

While Bush can grant martial law, or pass these patriot acts or what not, I am arguing that these actions are inherently un-American. Did u know that it was only since World War I that only US citizens were allowed to vote - before that all residents could vote. I am arguing that if people actually were truly American and acted according to the American ideals, we wouldnt have all these problems today. The American values of freedom, equality, justice, are great. It is sad how the verb American is being misused by many politicians or corrupt/evil Americans these days, just like how Jihad is by many muslims.
