i thinkt hat kind of thought is really dangerous. ther'es always rationale, because humans are rational. even mentally ill people follow their own trains of logical thought patterns; it just differs from ours.
he wasn't mentally ill. he was otherwise mentally "different." but understanding it is the reason why the study of humanities exist.
it might seem really weird that i'm commenting on this random entry from a while ago, but i wrote something very similar when this happened. and i hated how everyone posthumously diagnosed him with like four psychological illnesses to make sense of what happened. instead of trying to imagine reasons for his actions and the obvious pain he went through in life (didn't he make videos where he was really angry and confessed some things?), as a society we label him as irrational and ill; that's OUR attempt at finding rationale for behavior we don't understand.
