how intent on staying in the Seattle area are you? and do you know anyone with possible connections in something you'd be interested in doing? because knowing people helps A LOT. As my aunt informed me (when I told her the reason it took me so long to agree to come to pennsylvania is because I wanted to find something on my own), knowing people is how you find jobs a lot of the time. Which in some ways is bloody annoying, but there it is.
best of luck, though. If you're managing to talk to actual people, or anyone ever returns your phone calls (and those who do aren't in Mississippi), you're doing better than I did ;p
