A friend of mine's toilet is in a little room by itself, just off the main hallway. The door has two long windows on it, each with decorative white curtains that don't cover it. I *hate* using the toilet at her place.

If they don't pull down the blind (which, being a house of all boys, they seem fairly lazy about), you can see the shower from the hallway. The bathroom isn't exactly tucked away in a corner where you wouldn't see it either - it's at the top of the stairs, so you see into the bathroom and anybody who happens to be there when you are just strolling around the house.

I am the type of person who consciously locks the bathroom door even if I am alone in the house. This seems very weird to me.

Consensus from Southampton is: Yup, that's downright odd. Whoever designed that little feature had a few screws loose.

Personally, I'm with you. I think it's weird. I asked my boyfriend and he said he honestly wouldn't care. "It'd be a learning experience". Men. *rolls eyes*

My friends have the same problem, though the door's not all glass, but you can look into it. The solution? Put posters over the door.

I dunno, it is weird... I'd feel uncomfortable using it.
