Character Name:
Series: Include a link as reference.
Point in canon: This is a point in canon yey!
Character Background and Personality: First and foremost, it is important to remember that Xellos is, in fact, a servant. Created to serve his Mistress Beast Master Zelas until she decides she’s had enough of him, or until someone actually manages to off him. Though he seems to act in a manner that would suggest perfect freedom, it can be clearly seen that he has his own restraints set that typically keep him from going about as he pleases. For example, in his battle with Val Gaav, he really, honestly did not want to have to negotiate with Val, simply because he was perfectly aware that the monster dragon hybrid would refuse any terms he laid out. To an extent, he didn’t want to have to offer Linas life up in exchange for Vals alliance, though he did admit that if he had to kill Lina, he would not have given it a second thought. He is highly secretive, and tends to reveal nothing about himself personally, leaving others to try and piece ( ... )

personality: It can be said that he is quite capricious too, doing what he likes on a whim, given that it does not terribly interfere with the original plan. For example, Lina entered a tournament that required magically enhanced racquets to play. Xellos put himself into the competition… and lost, rather quickly. However, he wasn’t on the field to really play against Lina. Rather… it was to switch out her racquet with a completely useless non-magical racquet. Of course, Lina suffered for his prank, which he thought was absolutely hilarious, and it was only after she’d taken a rather serious beating that he revealed himself to be the thief. Rather jovially. There was absolutely no real reason to do that to Lina, other than the fact that it just made her very upset, and lead to the destruction of a perfectly good arena ( ... )

personality: While Xellos is deceitful through omission and hearsay rather than direct lies, it can be said that his very physical appearance in and of itself is the biggest lie. Xellos masquerades as a pleasant looking, unassuming, rather plain young man. Lanky, tall and almost always smiling with a forgettable face and a calm, easy going tone. If anything, Xellos aims for being remarkably unremarkable to people he has no interest in. At most, he appears to be charming and polite, if perhaps a little eccentric. Nothing that would truly stick in the minds of a person going about their usual day. As such, while other, lesser monsters might have their names well known to humanity, any mention of Xellos’s name will only get a reaction from the very, very few and rare people who have had the misfortune of being ‘of interest’ the monster. Other monsters, on the other hand, seem to know damn well who he is, Seigram vanishing when Xellos first appeared to him, and Zazan exclaiming in surprise and fear right before Xellos obliterated him ( ... )

sample:It had taken at least an hour and a half to balance everything closest to the door. And goodness, was it ever much. A fishbowl, several vases, glass wear and bottles, books, a decorative china dish, a flower pot and a few glass picture frames. He was rather proud of it, really. He was just now managing to put together the finishing touches on the whole messy business. No, no it never did occur to him that his unfortunate target had never once actually done anything to deserve it. Well, a little bit to deserve it, they had seen fit to try and lock him out once on a day where he wanted to use the door. That was uncalled for, in his personal opinion. So, there, he’d rationalized it without even needing a reason to do so. Just in case they demanded to know just what train of moon logic he’d happened to hop onto today ( ... )
