Doctor Who Meme Days 2 & 3
Day 2: Favorite Classic Series Episode
Um, I haven’t actually watched any of the Classic Who. Yet. I plan to, just not sure how. All I know is I have a pressing need to watch them all in order. Perfect. Order.
Day 3: Favorite New Series Episode
2x01 New Earth
There's more than one reason why, even after trying to talk myself out of it, I picked New Earth. It's not a wow-factor episode, and more than likely not the best episode either. But, as much as I dislike picking favorites, this was the one that kept bringing itself back up.
For one, it's the episode I've watched the most. And it never gets old. I'd like to see anyone watch Cassandra wriggling around in Ten's body without laughing though. Or, you know, this:

Second, and possibly more importantly depending on how you look at it, this episode pushed me into shipping Doctor/Rose when I wasn't supposed to. Oh I'd noted the chemistry between her and Nine, but I'd been informed before watching season 1 that their relationship was wrong because the Doctor shouldn't have any sort of romantics with his companions. I should have noticed right away that if the people who oppose the relationship could so readily admit there being one that I would have gotten sucked in anyway because I'm a sap. I tried to ignore it, I really did. Quite valiantly since I made it past TPotW with even a little of my resolve left. But then Ten had to go and get all angry and know that something was wrong with Rose all along. So I fell.
Yup. Total sap.
