I liked s3 of Secret Diary a lot too, although Duncan was such an insufferable douche. The plot was well done and Billie Piper was back to looking fabulous. PLUS Bambi was so awesome. HBIC.

And LOL omg I know, that one moment in s2 where she looks like she just got off the set of Doctor Who (lol, and maybe she did) is so bizarre. She doesn't even look like Rose most of the time, so it was especially noticeable in that scene.

And of course I agree with you about Doctor/Rose. I think the regeneration was a pretty significant step forward for their relationship though I know some people will disagree with me, lol.

I flip-flopped constantly with Duncan, ngl. Torn between "WTF" and "weeeell maybe idk". WTF definitely won out in the end. I actually felt bad for Alex when all was said and done, him and Hannah, but I throughly enjoyed the look on Duncan's face when that last chapter hit everybody's inboxes. As for Bambi, she much improved from constantly making me facepalm in season 2 lol. Much, much improved! Also her and Byron were strangely adorable.

That's the thing about Nine and why I get a little weirded out when I come across some of the more hardcore fics about him and Rose. It makes no sense how them getting together like that is a small squick of mine, but I can't help it. LOL.

I was instantly suspicious of Duncan and so I was waiting for the other shoe to drop the whole series, and ughhh what a douche. Alex was okay at the start but I disliked him pretty quickly once things went south with him and Hannah, and after he found out about her job they were both such a mess that I was like "nooooo abort mission". I had read a reaction post back before I watched the show that led me to believe Bambi was some sort of antagonist, so i spent all of s2 waiting for her to betray Belle or something, lol. Once it became obvious I had been mislead I started to like her. PLUS that scene where she calls out Stephanie for being racist and classist was so awesome.

Hahaha it sort of is for me too. I say I ship Nine/Rose, but what I maen by that is I like their relationship as it was on screen, but don't want it to go any further. I think he was in love with her and I think by the end of the series she realized she was in love with him, but nothing beyond that.

Yeah, sayonara and good riddance to Duncan. And I agree about Alex and Hannah. The whole time she was trying to get them back together I was all "Nooo you don't want that". It was all a sad turn of events. Not that I was surprised, honestly. I mean, Alex was totally the type of guy to show up at her flat out of nowhere. I had quite the opposite expectations for Bambi. The reaction post I read made it like she was pretty funny, but I found myself frustrated with her throughout season 2. By the end though, after she decided to actually listen I liked her. And omg that scene where she totally rips into Stephanie was the best!

Exactly! I mean, call me somewhat old fashioned, but it was just too soon for them. Him especially, I think. And, if I'm completely honest, I suppose I'm in the camp "nothing happened with Ten and Rose in that way on the show, but I don't mind reading it in fics". So, yeah, I totally ship Nine/Rose, but just as that step in their relationship.
