Also, don't get me wrong, I adore the Harry Potter series, even Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which is by far my least favourite of the seven books. But British literature, it is not. LOL.
Maybe I just have a very different view on what I think is classed as literature. I'd put HP more in the 'popular' column than the 'literary', but to each their own. I still love the books, regardless.
One of my friends in the States is doing much the same thing to her brother. He's not a Doctor/Rose shipper yet but that's because he's like 9 or 10 and still thinks girls have cooties.
And hurrah for finding British foodstuffs... now if only we'd import stuff from Gregg's.
