Wow! Fantastic stuff. Just found this journal via aeia and I've been looking at all the pics :-)
Silly question no.1, how hard on one's own hair is having extensions, and does it depend on the type of extensions? I've always fancied having some, but I'm paranoid about breaking my own hair coz I'm desperately trying to grow it.
It does depend somewhat on what you have done - the heavier the *stuff* is the tougher it is on your hair, but it shouldn't cause any serious amount of damage.
Our methods don't use any glue or heat treatments, so they are as gentle as can be.
Collinette wool is about the lightest, and so the easiest for first-time extensions, then loose extensions. Dreads and plastic are both quite heavy. Collinette has the added benefit to your hair that you are not washing, brushing or dyeing it while the wool is in.
"hairbunniez"...I hope you don't mind...I've added your name to my friend's list. I absolutely love everything here on the "hairbunniez" journal. You rock!!! Kudos in all that you do! I'll definitely be back.
