Shuri thinks Teito is a good person, actually. If he didn't have that impression of him before, he's built it over time.

A GOOD PERSON THAT HATES HIM!!!!!!! AND HE HATES HIM BACK TOO OBVIOUSLY EXCEPT NOT!!! I wrote that whole essay so I don't need to repeat that part. But there's been a couple of weird realizations correlating regarding Teito--one being that when Shuri was anonymous and talking to him in that anon post, Teito treated him kindly enough. And then on the flipside, Shuri found that Teitra had been Teito all along, and he had liked Teitra, too! It's really cemented the idea that "If we weren't Shuri Oak and Teito Klein, things could be so different."

But Shuri doesn't really know what to do with that statement so he's still defaulting defaulting defaulting anyway.

UM YES. AFAIK THE LAST TIME I WROTE ABOUT SHURI AND DEVIT WAS THIS THING and there are CRITICAL DIFFERENCES between that essay and how it is now SO UM YES I DO

Because, that essay was before Shuri confronted the elephant in the room, which was "hey man I know we're almost sort of like friends now but there were all those times you threatened to kill me and shredded my self-worth and pressured me into something extremely unpleasant." That stuff is devastating to Shuri, and it still is, but Devit is not the most recent or worst(?) thing that has happened to him, and now that Shuri is pretty clear that all THAT stuff wasn't really personal, just a Noah thing, he... yeah, okay, whatever. He's taking their peace treaty for granted now.

The red+2 I gave for Shuri's conscious estimation of Devit is the MAXIMUM amount of affection Shuri will let himself have. DEFINITELY UNTRUE NOW; he allows himself at least basic blue. the actual color is like idk low yellow.Shuri confides in Devit because Devit already thinks he's a terribly flawed person

I ALREADY RAMBLED ABOUT SHURI ON TAKANARI A LITTLE IN RESPONSE TO YOU, but yeah, Shuri likes Takanari a lot!! Since Takanari accepts that he is how he is, but is still encouraging to him trying to change and be better. Instead of being in the "You're perfect the way you are! Don't listen to them!" camp or the "No one is going to like you the way you are! Come back when you've grown up!" camp which both give him pressure, the middle ground really is the best

Shuri likes Echo. He's always been quite fond of her. :DD ♥ He only has nice things to say about her to people--despite the fact that she's a servant, because she is a GOOD and OBEDIENT one! And I mean, besides that, she is nice to him. :x He does like her on a personal level too. If she weren't "beneath" him he would be even more enthusiastic about it. ...Also apparently she is one of the people he would sort-of mafia for. In his way. Noise, however... well, is Noise. Shuri thinks she should be severely punished for being so dangerously insane. He would have let Devit kill her and he would feel relieved for it, however briefly.Sealand likes Liechtenstein because she's nice to himmmmm!! Also, she's not THAT far ahead of him in the international scene, I mean relative to some other countries, I mean... well, compared to other countries at least she's easiest to catch up to. SO BEFRIENDING HER IS THE BEST WAY TO GET A LEG UP ON HER

SHURI LOEV ASHTON!!

Really it is just. Fabulous for him to have someone on his level. He can have stupid adorable concerns or topics of conversation and ASHTON IS TOTALLY ON BOARD WITH HIM! He doesn't have to worry about being overly mature or deep or anything. HE CAN JUST BE HIMSELF. But at the same time Ashton isn't an adorable cute animal or little girl or anything like Littlefoot or Echo so he doesn't have to like, shield him from anything, if that sort of situation ever came up. WE ARE STUPID FRIENDS, BUT WE ARE ALSO MEN! ...SORT OF?! And his dragons are ttly better than all the other dragons too. Just. Ashton ;_;
