i finished registering for a full load classes yesterday...at the last possible minute. i also finished the first drafts of the scripts for the style cup. for some reason i feel aa sense of relief about these things...completion, even. this feeling doesn't make the least bit of sense. i should feel terrified. i should be a twitching clump of nerves

well I'm really excited for you. Were you able to schedule a class down south at the same time as Carl? will his car be fixed anytime soon? Find a wealthy displaced tulane student from NO to take your extra room and pay rent to bring in some cash to fix it. There's 70 going to UT now. Three's a crowd, though.

no we haven't seen about the car. sunday maybe. it might be fixable at a reasonable cost, maybe a hose or something

yeah, I think the news is just so heartbreaking it's hard not to get mad at privileged people that made it out and are so much better off. But I mean at the same time it's not like it's their fault that they're so lucky and upper-middle. And I mean they did lose everything they own. In that sense we're the brats, because we all have tons of stuff, clothes, etc. I'm surprised they were able to laugh about it at all. It would be nice if they volunteered, but NONE OF US HAVE VOLUNTEERED, really, so...

you're absolutely right. i think i feel guilty for having everything, and i feel like they should feel worse than they do. let's volunteer, man! after fondue, though. :)
