Teaching is something I enjoy and I think it will be good to be working on something career-y while I decide if writing is something I have the interest- or discipline- to pursue (and it's also something that I could live with doing for a long time if the writing thing takes a while to go anywhere). Also I've found that when I have nothing else to do, I frequently am unable to get any writing done. And not only do I love working with kids, it also gives me a ton of great stories, some of which I plan on not-so-subtly stealing later on for my own use.
