Anybody here used Boxee? Or know anybody who has? Thoughts? Impressions?

Never had any experience with boxee though.

However if your primarily looking to use your tv as a bigass monitor, or ideally to play full screen movies on I'd just go a dvi to rca adapter and use the tv as a second monitor, I've had this setup for about 3 year now in desktops and laptops and works perfect.

Oh, I'm sure it does. I'm not so much looking for advice on how to do it; I was wondering more about the kinda... idealogical shift involved in using something like that. And whether it really does make it simpler (and cheaper) and therefore potentially much more mainstream for people to use something like that to bring content you find on teh intarwebs into your living room.

Anything involving change to the traditional delivery of television and entertainment in general interests me.
