So the short answer is that ALL freeform discussion and community sites are subject to pervasive commercial censorship.
Strictly only those that take user payments. How to do it on a large scale without paying users being left as an exercise for the reader; I suspect advertizers are pretty wary too…

I see this as the real and genuine problem.
Paypal may have a near monopoly with Google checkout only really being small fry, but they are first and foremost a commercial entity that needs to make money.
And they do have to protect themselves.
I realise that it is annoying that they sometimes don't look at what really goes on on a site before they decide not to provide their services, but until a solution to the problem above has been found, I doubt this will go away.
