I hear stories from independent game developers that startups have closed down - the Venture Capital agreement had a Brexit clause and the VC's have pulled the plug.

Anyone got any corroboration? I'd heard about Brexit 'break' clauses in real estate purchases, but I was completely unaware of their existence in Venture Capital agreements...

Brexit is certainly a defining moment to point at, but it's really only a symptom of how toxic British culture has turned over the last few years. The 2015 General Election was my "oh shit" moment. With luck, the ensuing clusterfuck will result in regime change and proper reform, as opposed to Toryism wearing a red rosette, but I'm not holding my breath.
