Ah, yes, the Harvard Chair. I presume the price at which they sell them to alums is at a substantial markup for what the university pays for them, as otherwise the cost of furnishing the dorms would be ridiculous.

I assume buying one from Harvard subsidizes 6 undergrad chairs, at least. A new one costs $400 at the Coop. I got the used one for $50, which still seemed remarkably expensive to me. Fancy-pants, indeed!
