heavy lifting
hello folks! i solicit your assistance with the moving of a few objects; there are only two, but they're heavy.
i'd like to move a decommissioned APC SmartUPS/3000XL and an auxiliary battery pack of comparable size from my workplace in Cambridge to our home in Somerville.i've got access to a car for most of the transport (though if you've got a truck or a van, i'd love to talk to you); on the loading end there's a four-wheel cart, and on the unloading end there are steps down through the bulkhead into the basement (i'll see if i can get the use of a dolly for that end). i foresee being able to do the move in one trip.
did i mention these things are heavy, roughly 130 lbs apiece? :) this is a job for a team of burly people.
this project has been on my back burner for a while; unfortunately, since the UPSes currently in the machine room have recently started dying, the priority has been bumped up significantly. please let me know if you'd be willing to help out with this job and if you have any evening availability this week or next.
bonus points for anyone willing to stick around after the move and help me put the beasts into the rack.
