Personality:
The Professor is a genius...not that we’d ever know it. No, the Professor is an eight year old girl who sometimes acts like she’s five. She’s ridiculously spoiled and self-centered. She throws tantrums on the way to the store if she doesn’t get what she wants, eats all of the snacks even if she’s not supposed to, and doesn’t share her desserts. As a genius who’s already graduated from school and apparently conducts research (which is never seen), she lounges around the house all day doing what she loves best. This includes coloring, bothering the cat, making strange inventions, coloring, eating shark chocolate, bothering the cat, and “helping out” when she feels like it (she only makes a mess).

She gets excited easily and forgets things quickly, just like a child would. She can forgive someone for scaring her with dogs with just a picture of a shark. She loves to play games, and she gets lonely easily...and even scared easily depending on the circumstance. When there’s thunder or dogs or something strange, she’ll start to shake and cry and pout until someone helps her (yet she’ll randomly headbutt the cat just for fun...she’s not mopey by any means). She gets along well with high-energy people like Yuuko and will play games with her. She’s proud of herself for doing obnoxious things, and rarely shows any shame. She loves being treated like an adult, such as when she helps around the house, but usually does a very poor job of it.

Her house life is interesting because she’s the head of household. Her robot, Nano, goes to school and listens to everything she says...yet when Nano tells her no, the Professor gets upset. Yet, the Professor can forbid Nano from doing something, too. Nano is the big sister figure, and in a way, Professor is the parent. Whoever’s in charge at the time is completely random. Sakamoto, her talking cat, is the same way. He can be an authority figure, but the Professor is quick to blame him whenever she gets in trouble, and for some reason Nano believes the Professor. To get out of trouble once, she even offers to sacrifice the cat (who can talk because of the Professor’s invention).

Despite her faults, the Professor is shown to genuinely care. While she refuses to stop modifying her robot’s body with hidden desserts and corn guns or remove the dial on her back, if she pushes Nano too far she does apologize. At one point, despite not wanting to give Nano up, Professor decides to let her go to school. She also has fun, crazy ideas like building a room inside a wall just for hide and seek so no one will find her or creating giant tubes of super glue that no one can get off (Sakamoto almost dies after walking through it, not that she notices). Her view on the world at times is that she wants her and Nano to have everything...but the Professor gets more, first!

Strengths/Weaknesses:
+Is a genius! She's finished with school and does research, and she's capable of building robots, scarves that make animals talk, and powerful glue.
+Easily pleased! Do you have shark chocolate? She loves you forever, even if you just pushed her or got her bitten by a dog. Also, do you have crayons?
+Adorable! She's moe. She even has cat ears to prove it. When she's cute, she's cute.
+Creative! She's not just a genius, but she can find fun anywhere and can add a dash of her personality to anything she touches. It's not a Shinonome Institute Invention if it isn't fun, right?
+Very versatile! She can actually run pretty fast and take quite a bit of pain for her age...as long as she's the one hurting herself (rolling to a stop, headbutting her cat).
-Throws tantrums! If you have it, you might as well give it to her...
-Selfish! She wants to keep everything for herself. She may share on occasion if she knows you well, but most of the time? It's Professor-time.
-Lacks common sense! She can build a robot, but can't do the laundry. She made animals talk, and she still believes in Santa Clause and can't bring down the laundry in the rain.
-Not very good by herself! The one time she leaves the house by herself, she freaks out and comes home sweating because she runs into two dogs (that bite people in front of her, but she manages to convince herself they're going to eat her before they even arrive).
-Easily scared at times, and cries easily! If it's scary, the Professor is useless. Do you have a hand for her to hold?

Samples
First Person Sample:
[Hakase turns the gear on in a panic. Her Ditto is climbing all over her shoulder, looking pretty relaxed despite how badly she’s crying and how black her clothes and face are.]

T-The Professor saw a bird that looked like Santa Clause! A-And he gave the Professor a present. Only, the present exploded!

Someone needs to get that bird and tell him he owes me a real present, okay? [All the sniffling. It was clearly an agent of Santa Clause.] I-I asked the bird for colored pencils, not a bomb...

[In the background of the feed, Ice Cave can be seen, with a Delibird laughing quite heartily.]

O-or else...or else...[She looks like she’s about to cry.] Did the Professor not get a present because she was bad this year? The Professor wants a present, too...

[The Ditto slithers off her arm, and starts wandering towards the Delibird as the Professor awkwardly tries to wipe her tears and hold the gear at the same time.]

T-the Professor is going to get revenge! I’ll get colored pencils, and chocolate, and--

[The feed cuts off just as she turns to try battling again. It will likely end in failure.]

Third Person Sample:
It was raining pretty hard. The Professor watched from her window with a mixture of awe and worry. If it was a storm, then there could be thunder, and she was all alone with Takashi, her Ditto, who was currently sleeping in her lap.

“Hey, Takahashi...I don’t wanna go to sleep.”

It was still early evening, but it was too dark and rainy to do anything fun...which meant that, unfortunately, the Professor had plenty of energy. She had already eaten two chocolate bars and a bag of chips for dinner. By some small miracle, she had washed it all down with a bottle of milk from the inn. Her room, already covered in pictures of Pokémon she had seen, friends from home, and sharks (mostly sharks), left little room for coloring.

With a small pout, she leaned forward, resting her head on the windowsill while she watched people run back and forth in the rain, trying to find cover. Most of them were in groups, so they weren’t lonely...but that didn’t help the Professor’s case any. She was waiting, thinking of something to do, something she could enjoy herself with...

...and then she saw it. Her eyes lit up, and she stood up so suddenly that Ditto slopped onto the floor. She placed both hands on the glass and pressed her face against the window, a smile slowly breaking out. This was it. This was perfect.

Without so much as a single word to her partner, the transforming Takahashi, she ran over to the closet and pulled out her green rain jacket. She quickly pulled it on, then hopped into her matching rain boots. Noticing that her Ditto was still sleeping on the floor, the Professor woke him up by yelling.

“Those girls missed the trash can, come on! We have to go pick up the litter, or else no one else is going to! Nano would tell us to!”

With that, one little girl and her Ditto ran out into the rain to pick up one cup...but that was only an excuse. Now she could finally play in the rain...where puddles were just waiting for her.
