J.'s first visit to the dentist

I took J. to the pediatric dentist today. He was a great guy. He told me right off the bat he expected J. to scream and that was OK, as it would just give him a better look. I was hoping J. would be OK with it, as we've made great strides in the area of toothbrushing, but alas, it was not to be. J. sat in my lap facing me, and I laid his head in

aw, I can't imagine how scary that must be for them to visit the dentist.

I definitely felt like Bad Mommy. J. doesn't like to be messed with in general. He's very snuggly, but don't try to change his diaper LOL unless you've got some high-powered distraction at hand!

I'll never forget the first time I had to take him to the pet store with me (cat food emergency). He was freaked out by the parakeets. The second time he was enthralled. Maybe next visit won't be bad.
